5 tips for event posters

Eye-catcher
To attract attention, it is first and foremost important that the event poster stands out and catches the eye. This can be achieved with an appealing title, eye-catching colors or a graphic.

Info
Less is often more: not much information is needed to ensure that the people reached remember the event. It is best to focus on the well-known W questions: When and where is the event taking place? Who is organizing it? How do I get tickets?

Visual hierarchy
In most cases, the information about the event is more important than any graphics. It can therefore be useful to pay attention to the visual hierarchy: Does the graphic not take up too much space? Is the information easily recognizable?

Contrast
Depending on where the poster is to be placed, it is recommended that it is also recognizable and legible when walking or driving past. This can be achieved, for example, with reader-friendly contrasts; does the text stand out well against the background? Is the poster as a whole easily recognizable?

Clean work
Even if it can sometimes be a bit tedious: Be patient! It's better to put a little more work into the design of the event poster at the beginning and think everything through - after all, the poster symbolizes the event.
